Entry Fee: In agreement with I.W.S.F. an Entry Fee will be payable towards the organisation costs. An Entry Fee of 50,- € (Euro) per race per Team is requested to be paid upon arrival. Venues and dates: The Worlds 2009 are held in four different cities across the Flemish part of Belgium, each giving the participating teams a different racing style. - 1st Race : Sunday July 19th, 2009 – GENT > Organiser Mr. Frans Van Gaeveren - 2nd Race : Tuesday July 21st, 2009 – GENK > Organiser: Mr.Guido Bollen - 3rd Race : Friday July 24, 2009 –ANTWERP > Organiser: Mr. Paul Turlinckx - 4de Race : Sunday July 26th, 2009 - VIERSEL > Organiser: Mr. Julius Leysen Enclosed you will find the full program and time table of the Worlds 2009. Mr. Kris Abelshausen (called Soes!), who is a recognized Osteopathic will be present at all races. He offered to help all Teams if needed on intervention cost. Contact through mobile phone: +32 486 538 777. Drug Testing: Please note that drug testing will be executed by the Government (as mandatory by IWSF rules). No prior notice will be given to anyone concerning where and when. The organizers will be notified upon arrival of the drug testing team. Opening Ceremony: The official Opening Ceremony will be held on Saturday July 18th, 2009 and will take place in Gent. A Parade-march will be held (see Final program) with afterwards the Opening Ceremony and Reception at the Harbour site. Please note: that Official Team Uniforms are mandatory. Every participating Country is kindly requested to bring a Nation Flag with them. Prize Giving Ceremonies: - After each Race a Official Prize Giving Ceremony will be held. If Official Team Uniform is required, notice will be given in due time. Closing Ceremony: - On Sunday July 26th, 2009 the Official Prize Giving for Viersel results and Overall Prize Giving Ceremony and Closing Ceremony will be held in Viersel at Hooidonk Center. Please note: that Official Team Uniforms are mandatory. - Closing diner tickets will be available at 65,- €/person. Team Captains will be notified about the number of tickets: o free (as per IWSF Obligations) for Team members and o allocated number of tickets for sale per country Plans to venues: How to get there? Plans will be at your disposal upon arrival to the different locations. Accommodation OFFICIAL HOTEL FOR THE WORLDS 2009 – BELGIUM THE « SCANDIC HOTEL » The Scandic Hotel is nearly fully booked, the deadline being past, additional accommodation reservations is now only possible on request through the Secretaries Office. Enclosed you will find a special flyer the Scandic Hotel provided us, to facilitate your requirements in the Hotel. If accommodation at the Scandic is not possible anymore , the organising committee will do the necessary to accommodate you in the Crown Plaza Hotel, which is our 2nd Official Hotel:
- Please note that we obtained the same rates in the CROWN PLAZA HOTEL, Antwerp. this hotel is situated only 5 minutes from the Scandic Hotel. Information: www.crowneplaza.com/antwerp. All reservations have to be made through the organisation secretary office. RADISSON SAS Hotel Antwerp (in the middle of town) , cordially offered rooms to supporters, please find the flyer herewith. Camping facilities - A camping-site with all facilities will be available in Viersel. To park in the designated area a fixed price of 150,- € for all sizes of vans and campers irrespective of the length of stay will be payable on arrival. There is no discount available for shorter stays. Please note that the deadline was June 22nd, 2009 all reservations as from that date will be allocated after the ones already received. - On the eve of and during racing day at other venues emplacements will be available if you would travel by van, camper or mobile-home. Paddock area: - Refuelling The transport of avgas (kerosene) is prohibited in Belgium. Available fuel is 95 and 98 octane (unleaded) available at the gas stations. At the race in Gent refuelling is forbidden in the Paddock. The port authority and the fire brigade are very strict on this. Refuelling will be allowed on the 1st leg harbour on the water. At the race in Genk boats need to arrive in the paddock with fully tanks on Monday before 20.00 h. Refuelling in Genk will be done on strict orders by the organizers and a route to be followed. At the race in Antwerp it is forbidden to refuel in the paddock. Jerry cans for refuelling are out of the question! The boats have to get out of the water and get transported to a commercial gas station for refuelling (also between races). The gas station is just across the street from the Paddock. At the race in Viersel refuelling is allowed in the paddock area (supervised by the Fire department of Zandhoven). At all races : - NO TOWING VEHICLES are allowed in the Paddock areas. - SMOKING IS PROHIBITED in all paddock areas. - QUADS & MOTORISED BIKES are FORBIDDEN on all premises! VIP tickets on sale at each race: If any of you would like to experience the VIP treatment (parking, VIP area, beverages and a spot of food), tickets are available:
