16th World WATERSKIRACING CHAMPIONSHIPS
hosted in Belgium.

This first bulletin is a <<prelimirary >> one to make you already acquainted with the different venues.

In a short time we will issue the second bulletin, containing the necessary information concerning : entries, how to get where, car rentals, home base at Viersel Waterski Club and all technical aspects of the sites. By then it will also be clear whether we have the possibility to race in Antwerp.

2009 WORLD WATER SKI RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS
BELGIUM

Dear Waterski Friends,

We are very pleased and proud to present to you the 16th World Waterski Racing Championships. As you already may know, the Worlds will be held in Belgium from the 19th till the 26th of July 2009. What you may not know yet, is that it promises to be one of the best world-series in the history of water ski racing.

After having hosted our first World Championship in 1995, again you are invited in one of the smallest countries in the world. It is again our prestigious goal to have an excellent organisation of the second Worlds in Belgium.

The IWSF gave us the confidence to organize again this event. Not because Belgium is a nice little country … no .. we’ve got this event because we are determined to succeed with this organization and because we have built up a tremendous experience in organizing the, in the world well-known, yearly “Diamond Race”.

Therefore we wish to thank all the people (IWSF, EAME, the cities, officials, participants, supporters, sponsors and co-workers) who made (and still are making) this possible.

To make sure that you all have a pleasant time during these Worlds, we will release the first bulletin in a short time with details of the different venues. Later on this year (and next year) we will send you more bulletins with all the necessary information, to make sure that you all know everything you need to know.

To all participants we wish you already good luck in your nominations to come to Belgium and compete in this exciting event ! To all others we wish a sportive and pleasant journey in our beautiful country.
